Day 01

Itinerary

Broome - Derby - Windjana Gorge - Tunnel Creek - Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge

Embark on a charter flight from Broome, treating yourself to sweeping views of Chinatown and the picturesque Roebuck Bay, followed by a mesmerising flight over the expansive mangroves and wetlands of Roebuck Plains.

Touch down at Derby, a historic outback town perched at the edge of the King Sound and one of the first towns to be settled in the Kimberley. Here you’ll take a town tour including the Boab Prison Tree (Kunumudj) which is over 1,500 years old and a culturally significant site for the local Nyikina and Warrwa people. You will also have the option to visit the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre (closed on Mondays).

Following this, take a drive to Tunnel Creek (Dimalurru) where you will delve deep into the depths of this intricate cave system with our knowledgeable guide. Following the exploration, enjoy a dip in a majestic swimming hole before reaching the end of the tunnel for a gourmet picnic lunch against the stunning backdrop.

Return to Windjana Gorge to immerse yourself in the captivating flora and fauna of the Kimberley as your explore towering gorges and pristine riverbeds.

In the afternoon, journey along the legendary Gibb River Road until you reach the oasis of Mount Hart. Here, you'll savour a delicious three-course dinner and enjoy a refreshing cocktail to close off a big day of adventure.

Day 02

Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge - Scenic Helicopter Adventure - Horizontal Falls - Broome

Awaken to a hearty breakfast at Pippa’s Corner, while you learn about the pioneers of Mount Hart, before embarking on an extraordinary scenic flight to Bell Gorge (Dalmanyi).

Flying south, you'll experience the beauty of Isdell Valley before following Bell Creek to the renowned cascading waterfalls of Bell Gorge. Soar over the mountainous terrain of the Isdell Ranges and the Gibb River Road, and enjoy an aerial perspective of one of the most stunning collection of waterfalls, Lennard Gorge.

Return to Mount Hart to enjoy a delicious lunch and refreshing drink at Uncle Tony’s Jungle Bar. Jump aboard the safari tour vehicle and head to Matthew Gorge for a light hike to the cascading natural spa for a refreshing swim, followed by a land safari tour to Barker Pool.

Bid farewell to Mount Hart and embark on a captivating 4pm charter flight. Fly over the famous Horizontal Falls, while you witness astonishing rapid tidal movements unique to this region. Return to Broome by 5:30pm in time for a famous Cable Beach sunset.
